Have you ever wondered what it is like to be a SEAL?!
The UDT-SEAL Association brings you the Ultimate SEAL Challenge: The Monster Mash Race at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront as part of the USO’s Patriotic Festival. Participants are encouraged to test their mettle to see if they have what it takes. The 3.5 mile course takes you along the beautiful Virginia Beach Oceanfront and will feature plenty of challenges and obstacles for the “not so weak at heart.” Celebrate your finish knowing that for one day you were “A common man with an uncommon desire to succeed!”
The UDT-SEAL Association is a federally recognized non-profit Veteran Service Organization.
Founded in 1969 as a mechanism of support for NSW members and their families, the Association’s primary responsibilities were coordinating reunions and publishing a quarterly magazine. In 2010, due to the amount of support the active duty population was receiving from USSOCOM, and various benevolent organizations, the Association shifted its focus toward assisting the community’s veteran population.
The UDT-SEAL Association became a 501(c)(19) Veteran Service Organization (VSO) in 2013.
Pillars of Support: The Association focuses on three primary areas of support.
Membership Support Transitional Assistance (MLAP)
Ensure Veteran members and transitioning NSW personnel receive their veteran benefits as well as the necessary guidance to succeed in civilian society.
Scholarship Assistance to Dependent Children
History, Heritage, and Esprit de Corps
Quarterly Blast Magazine, Reunions, History Lecture series
